Why I Started Romans 1:16
Romans 1:16
After attending a local Beast Feast on October 13, 2026 where Willie Robertson was speaking, I felt a deep conviction. Willie said that we should be on a mission to share the gospel. He spoke about the importance of sharing the good news and how a preacher impacted his entire family, by witnessing to his father Phil. Willie told of the woman at the well, and how Jesus had an opportunity to witnessed to her by simply asking for a drink of water. Willie said that if we can ask someone for a glass of water, then we can create an opportunity to witness to them.
Willie told us about his book the "Gospeler" and I immediately ordered it, while still at the event that night. I began to think about the fact that I have been saved since December 2001, but had failed to share the gospel with others, the way God has commanded me to. I am both convicted and ashamed of my hesitation to witness to others. I don't know why I am so fearful to do so, partly because I don't think that I comprehend the bible well enough to answer questions others may have.
I have drawn a line in the sand. After 25 years of lacking the boldness to share the gospel with strangers, I am determined to step out of my comfort zone.
