Advice Request from LinkedIn

Proverbs 3:5-6

Yesterday, a gentleman reached out to me on LinkedIn. He said that he needed some advice and asked if I did biblical chats. I asked him what advice he needed. He said that he had been struggling with his finances and asked if I could recommend a bible verse that may help him.
I told him that I too had been struggling financially since losing my job. I told him that I am trusting in the Lord to open the right door and provide for my needs in the meantime. I told him that one scripture I lean on in tough times is

"Trust in the Lord with ALL your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In ALL your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your path."
Proverbs 3:5-6

He asked me how to know when to "take action" vs "wait on the Lord". My advice was to pray for wisdom in making decisions and proceed cautiously. Be proactive, but allow Him to open doors, don’t force things. He thanked me for the advice and I hope that it helped.

I share a daily bible verse on LinkedIn each morning. I was advised by some people that I may lose followers by doing so. That really doesn't concern me. I have had many people reach out to me privately and thank me for my daily scriptures and for adding "Christ Follower" in my bio.

Just the fact that this man felt comfortable reaching out to me, because of my LinkedIn posts makes it worth it.
